December 2020 Canada Republic Update

The word, nation, what it means and may represent, can be many things; as quaint as fans of a specific hockey team, or as significant as a power that has landed humans on the moon. The First Nations' notion of nation to nation negotiations, is peculiar. To use the sport analogy, the players of the Nations are all on the same team. Team Canada, in the Constitutional Monarchy league. All the laws surrounding historical and current injustices concerning First Nations and non-indigenous cultures are constitutionalized by Royal Assent. Canada is a team in the minor league of the British Monarchy. Republics are in the big league, politically evolved, beyond colonial convention and monarchical mindset. Many nations spilled blood to become republics, but Canadian politicians only need to spill ink from a pen to be in the big league.
