Alberta, 32 law professors sign a letter calling to make the oath to the King optional. 3 Indigenous law students (from various First Nations) challenge Alberta's oath to the King (when called to the bar), citing modern colonialism and Charter violations.
I believe the majority of Canadians would support a Prime Minister who wants to amend the Constitution to allow Canadians to vote for a Canadian head of state in Canada. I am with the majority of Canadians who do not support the British Monarchy in Canada.

While in Ottawa from September 20th to 28th, I spoke with, among many others, former Conservative leader Andrew Sheer, Green Party matriarch Elizabeth May, part-time Canadian republican advocate NDP Leader Jagmeet Singh and Senator Marilou McPhedran, promoting a republic for Canada.

The Head of State of Canada is also Defender of the Faith. Her faith is in a genetically chosen Christian sect leader; Her. All members of Parliament, of all religions, and of no religion, swear or affirm an allegiance to Her.
